Temazkal

Temazkal is the Nahuatl word for what is known as a sweat lodge. While the sweat lodge
is known in North America, the temazkal has its roots in Mexico. The temazkal is known
as a purification ceremony and a way of life for Indigenous people. A temazkal is an
ancient sacred ceremony and I conduct these lodges for women during their pregnancy
and after birth upon their request. This sacred sweat home or ceremony helps my
clients and their families to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My son was
actually born in the temazkal. This is a private and sacred ceremonial moment and I
choose not to write too much about it, but I will answer your questions privately if you
are interested.
